Here is my steps to make the crystal model out of Styrofoam balls.

  1. Get 44 white Styrofoam balls, patience, PVA glue and cotton wool buds. Remember to let it dry after each step!!
  2. Stick 36 in pairs leaving 8.
  3. Stick 8 of the pairs together longways so you have 4 rows of 4 balls.
  4. Stick a ball to 6 pairs longways, to make 6 rows of 3.
  5. Stick 2 lots of pairs together side by side to make two 2x2 squares.
  6. Stick the 4 rows of 4 together to make a 4x4 square.
  7. Stick 3 rows of three together to make a 3x3 square. Repeat this step.
  8. Stick the 3x3 square on to the 4x4 square, then the 2x2 square on to the 3x3 square, then a single ball onto the 2x2 square, so you have a square base pyramid.
  9. Repeat this step on the base of the square base pyramid to make your crystal model.
