I was looking on the internet today for more informaiton about crystals when i can across this website about science for kids. It has some good experiemtns and is inertesting.
I found out that a crystal is an organized grouping of atoms or moleclues. crystals can be different shapes depending on what atoms its made from and where it formed.
If you read the bit on the website about vibrating crystals, different crystals would vibrate to transmit different signals so they were even used in the radio's of School of the Air when it first started.
